about james White III, Esq.
Midtown resident and seasoned legal professional James White III is a dedicated public servant with a track record of fighting for fairness, accountability, and second chances. Currently serving as an Assistant Solicitor General in the Fulton County Solicitor General’s Office, White is at the forefront of efforts to promote public safety while ensuring equity within the criminal justice system.
Before joining the Solicitor’s Office, White built a successful career in real estate law, where he streamlined complex real estate transactions and worked closely with attorneys, agents, and community stakeholders to deliver results for working families and first-time homebuyers. But driven by a deeper commitment to justice, he transitioned into litigation—bringing his legal expertise and passion for service to the courtroom as a prosecutor.
A proud graduate of Benedict College and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, White has always paired his professional work with community engagement. During law school, he mentored undergraduate students and led outreach efforts in prisons and juvenile detention centers, believing firmly in redemption and the power of second chances. He also served as a law clerk in the U.S. Senate, advising on national regulatory issues with the Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management Committee.
James White is running for Atlanta City Council because he believes our city deserves bold, experienced leadership—grounded in fairness, accountability, and community voice. As a proud Midtown resident, he’s ready to fight for all Atlantans, especially those who have historically been left behind. With a sharp legal mind and a heart for service, James White III is the leader we need to move Atlanta forward.
